Interior Enhancement Group Approaching each custom interior, from residential to commercial spaces, with the intent to listen, inspire, and create, Kelly Guinaugh considers design esthetics, lifestyle, and needs when interpreting her homeowners desires. In order to achieve an authentic reflection of those wishes, Kelly stresses a culture of listening at Interior Enhancement Group, which has proven to be an award-winning trait since the firms founding in 1999. It is notably one of only three interior design firms in the Chicago area to have achieved the Chicago Design Team top 10 designer award for six consecutive years. The firm was also awarded best in design by the International Furnishings and Design Association for Illinois. Above: A family transitioning from city living to a suburban setting appreciated clean lines that would balance with the traditional architecture of their new home. The dining room table, initially admired by the homeowner in a magazine photo, became our inspiration for the room. IEG researched the table and customized the design and finish to meet our preferences. The table is a wow piece in the room and the square design is excellent for conversation with dinner guests. The ambience in the room is further enhanced by the pearlized, multi layered paints applied onto the ceiling; the walls are a metallic tissue blend that add just enough texture to make an elegant statement. Pleated silk from Kravet Fabrics was used for the window treatments, which offered another opportunity to bring additional texture, ultimately reflecting the homeowners unique style. Facing Page: The master bedrooms serene and timeless feel was achieved through several ways. We upholstered the headboard from Kravet Furniture in a lush mohair fabric and then dressed the bed in silks, velvets, and chenille for an irresistible palette of alluring textures. Mirrors designed by IEG, an Artifacts nightstand in a beautiful painted patina, and crystal lamps add a touch of glamour to the luxurious bedroom retreat. Photographs by John Hanson
