Interior Enhancement Group With a rare combination of left- and right-brain thinking, Kelly Guinaugh enjoys both the project management and design sides of her business. As the founder of Interior Enhancement Group, Kelly works alongside visionary design partner Susan Corsten to compose life-enhancing environments. She credits a childhood rich in the arts for her innate talent and appreciation for interiorshoned during postcollegiate design classeswhile her business acumen was sharpened by a degree in business. Kelly and her team at IEG seamlessly create beautiful, functional interiors that clearly reflect their clientele. They keep a watchful eye on the timelines and budgets, instilling complete confidence that all aspects of the project are being managed. Above: The functional and stylish great room accommodates the busy daily life of a young family who works, plays, and entertains. Anchored by a custom area rug designed by IEG, the room achieves a well-traveled motif by incorporating worry-free furnishings such as a reclaimed wood cocktail table that has only enhanced with wear and sturdy textiles that can withstand years of the busy familys activities. The striking wood beams provide architectural interest and direct the eye toward the antlers, a treasured trophy. Facing Page: The traditional dining room table, a family heirloom, anchors the eclectic room. The homeowners challenged us to create a room that incorporated these pieces while reflecting their current personal style. We chose to offset the traditional table with a unique contemporary buffet from Artifacts. The juxtaposing styles introduce a touch of attitude, furthered by pops of crimson and gold that bring the room to life. The application of Donghias mica wallpaper to the ceiling creates an interesting twinkle as it catches the accent lighting behind the crown moulding. Photographs by John Hanson
