At the winery, business is a family affair; all of donn and Molly's six children are involved in winery operations. Cyril, Carissa, and Jon-Mark serve as managing directors of marketing, legal affairs, and wine and viticulture, respectively. dominic oversees all audiovisual projects. Their sisters Lygia and Alexa also lend their talents to the company—Lygia provides artwork for the winery and supports marketing in the Monterey area, while Alexa contributes designs for labels and assists with marketing in the Los Angeles area. Winemaker Phillip Corallo-Titus, vineyard manager david Pirio, and vineyard foreman enrique Rodriguez have worked together with family members for decades in building the award-winning legacy of Chappellet wines. Among the winery's early claims to fame is a 1969 Jeroboam of Chappellet Cabernet Sauvignon, which sold for the highest price on record for a single bottle of American wine at the first Napa Valley Wine Auction. Recently ranked in the top 30 of the Wine Spectator's Top 100 three years in a row, the 2006 Chappellet Cabernet Sauvignon placed sixth in the world. Chappellet wines have consistently ranked in the 90s, yet it is the focus on the vineyards and family that makes Chappellet an exceptional winery. LefT: The west tasting corner in the winery pyramid.
